To encourage members of the Chinese community to establish an identity as Singaporean Chinese, and to build and revise a Singapore genealogy as Singaporeans.

To help clan associations honour ancestors and strengthen kinship, carry forward root culture, and unite members to ease social division; to help families unite, integrate families and surname groups, uphold the spirit of mutual support and mutual watchfulness, and face together the severe challenges of a new social life under globalisation.

And to promote a modern, plain, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-search “Singapore model” method of photo genealogy, so that genealogies can truly serve the purposes of preserving history, educating, and informing governance.
